The designs have just been released for the Newsham Park skate facility. "My skating years might be behind me," announced Carol Sung, "but I can't wait for Tuebrook and Stoneycroft's youngsters to take full advantage!"

Tuebrook's own Lady in Skating Carol Sung is delighted to announce that our Labour Council is ramping up investment in Tuebrook with a new £250,000 skateboarding park for Newsham Park.
"This is absolutely fantastic," said Carol. "Tuebrook's young people have been telling me for years that we need more for them to do. Joe Anderson fought to set aside £1.5 million for better youth facilities in the city - and Tuebrook has hit the jackpot!"
The plans have been approved by Labour Council bosses, and the skate park should be open by the end of the year.
Mayor Joe Anderson said: “We desperately need more good quality facilities that our young people can use and the feedback we have had demonstrates there is overwhelming support for this type of facility.
He added, “It is going to be great that young people are going to be taking part in all the activities – and while I’d like to join in, this is going to be very much a spectator sport for me!”
