Retail giants set for Tuebrook

Fresh off the success of the Royal de Luxe Giants who visited Tuebrook over the summer, two retail giants are set to land in Tuebrook, bringing with them 100 jobs for local people.

Both a Marks and Spencer store and an Aldi supermarket will be built on the site of the Merseyside Society for Deaf People (MSDP) on Queens Drive. The £7m scheme will also see state-of-the-art new offices built for the deaf society itself.

Labour’s local champion Carol Sung was delighted by the news, “I’m thrilled that Tuebrook has been chosen for this development!” she said, “And I’m even more excited by the much-needed jobs that it will bring to the area for local people.”
