Carol Sung has had a letter published in the Liverpool Echo on the appointment of Simon O'Brien as head of a review into the city's green space.

The Government has required every Council to draft a ‘Local Plan’, identifying sites that might be fit for future development.
In the draft Liverpool Local Plan, a piece of land in the Kensington area of Newsham Park had been included.
“I’m dead set against this proposal”, said Carol Sung. "It’s a disgrace that Council officers suggested even a small piece of the Park be suitable for development.
"I was delighted when the Mayor, Joe Anderson, signed a petition against this proposal. Newsham Park is a beautiful local amenity and we must all fight to protect it.”
